Sharon Larose from Usk, BC shares her knowledge of Bannock passed down by her mother and kokum. Bannock can be baked in a pan or on a stone (camping), shallow pan-fried, or deep-fried. You can enjoy it with stews or just jam and butter. Sharon is a Festival Favourite who always has a lineup waiting to taste her delicious fry bread. She has made a many Bannocks over the fire and thinks it’s the best when fried!

Anna Cousins (Muskego)  Is a mixed blood Dene artist, she loves working with the public teaching people of all ages about our First Nations history and traditional crafts over a number of platforms. She is a Dene artisan who is passionate about creating functional traditional art pieces.

Doreen’s artistic endeavours is in Graphic Design amd holds a diploma in GraphicDesigner, Photographer and Aboriginal Child and Family Services.. She holds a wealth of experience in managing, communications, administration, event coordination, planning, Indigenous liaison, programming, production, photography, and videography and Art Installations for festivals. Her most recent Installation creation brought her to Kamloops this past June 2024 for National Aboriginal Day.

Mikayla weaves magic with thought-provoking and powerful lyrics. Her voice is gentle yet raw, accompanied by her 36 string Celtic harp. Mikayla writes about the secrets and mysteries we hold close to our heart and souls. Musically she is influenced by Celtic, folk, roots, and even pop sensibilities. Mikayla captures audiences and invites them to love a little deeper through her stories of living with schizophrenia.

Marissa Karpiak otherwise known as Marissa K is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Edmonton. Marissa has performed nationally and internationally and most recently joined Toronto's Juno Award-winning producer Chris Graham on his Alberta tour. She has performed with Euphoria Ukrainian Band at Edmonton's Ufest.
