My Son the Hurricane is a powerful 12-piece brass funk band from Niagara, ON. They have toured extensively and headlined major festivals across multiple countries. They had 45 sold-out shows in 2022, proving their unmatched live performances. In 2023, they’ll embark on a 70+ date tour across North America and Europe, sharing stages with acts like Foo Fighters, Jason Isbell, and Colin James.

This year marks the 16th anniversary of Kaleido and we’re celebrating with music, art and magic August - September! Wander the Alberta Avenue District (NAIT–Northlands, 75 St–106 St / 111 Ave–Yellowhead) to find art installations, chalk art, The Front Porch Series, Birds on a Wire Performance Series and more! Follow our website in the coming weeks for tour info and behind the scene glimpses. 

September 10–12, 2021 will be the weekend of the Kaleido 2021 On Tour showcase. We’ll be rolling on flatbed trucks, dancing down streets and pocket parks featuring a variety of music, art, dance, and acrobatics.

We are monitoring Alberta Health Service's recommendations and will follow all safety guidelines. Kaleido On Tour 2021 continues to cultivate the arts and foster community spirit for all.

National Stiltwalkers of Canada

Since 2001, the National Stiltwalkers of Canada have been sharing their “High Spirited Entertainment” at festivals and events throughout Alberta. They have also performed in Ottawa, the Maritimes, Victoria, Oregon, Washington, DC, and at an international circus festival in Nanjing, China. The are happy to be returning to the Kaleido Fest for the 15th year in a row!

Orlando Martínez

Orlando Martínez is the owner and creative director of FiestaCubana Dance School, which opened in Edmonton April of 2007. Orlando has been dancing professionally since 1998 in Cuba, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.

Orlando specializes in a variety of popular and traditional dances from Cuba. He regularly performs at various functions, special events and festivals. Delighting audiences with his high- energy “animation,” Orlando specializes in getting a crowd on their feet!
