The Aurora Lantern Celebration will be kicking off the Kaleido 2020 on Tour showcase weekend! DJ Kwake will be spinnin’ tunes as street performers and glow artists delight the audience.
Want to participate? The Aurora Lantern Parade is a beloved Kaleido tradition that brings together performers and festival-goers in dance, song, and laughter. For this year’s physically distanced lantern celebration, follow our virtual workshop on how to make your own lantern. Hang your creation outside your home to show your Kaleido spirit, or drop it off at the Alberta Avenue Community League and have your lantern hung on our floats!
Lantern Drop-off:
Drop off your lantern at the Alberta Avenue Community League on September 9th or 10th, from 2–9 PM. Lanterns should be under 12" x 12" in size. Want to go bigger? Contact lantern@kaleidofest.ca
Pick up your pancake mix kit from the Alberta Avenue Community League (9210 - 118 Ave) or The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse (9351 - 118 Ave) on September 9 and 10. Have fun with your cohort recreating the Kaleido pancake breakfast from home.
Tip: Play music by your favourite Kaleido artist to get in the groove.
