Brianna Lizotte took up the fiddle just 7 years ago and is described by her teachers, mentors, and fans, as an incredible talent. Brianna is both a student and teacher of her instrument of choice, the fiddle, but her musical talents extend to the guitar, ukulele, clarinet, and percussion. This musical talent is not just an exceptional technical skill but a talent that rises from the depths of her soul and spirit and radiates in other areas of her life. Brianna joined the Red Deer Royals in 2012, is a snare in the drum line, an assistant section leader, and this year’s Band Council President. This discipline and experience as a musician, performer, and now a leader is something she deeply values and will carry into her future.

With many accomplishments already under her belt, such as the Rising Star Award from the Alberta Men and Women of Country Music in 2016, and most recently, for her part in the Red Deer Royals, the 2016 - 2017 members were all awarded the Mayor’s Recognition Award from the City of Red Deer. Brianna would also want to be known as deeply proud of her Metis heritage, for her love of community, for volunteerism, for her gratefulness to her family, teachers and mentors for their encouragement and support, and for her passion of teaching young students.

Kaleido Family Arts Festival is a free festival, donations are gratefully accepted.
