My Son the Hurricane is making its way through Kaleido Family Arts Festival (September 13 - 15), on Friday, September 13 at 9:30 pm.
Working hard to be the most energetic band in North America, My Son the Hurricane is a multi horn, multi drummer, multi singer brass beast — no dance floor is safe! The giant band has returned with a new full length album “Ride the Bullet” (Vegas Funeral Records) and a seven month North American tour for the full length release. The band which features a large horn section, full throttle rhythm section and two energetic front people, harkens back to the time when “entertainment was king” and are like a voltage enhanced Lawrence Welk.
For two and a half days every September, Alberta Avenue comes alive as an environment of creative exploration and performances on rooftops, sides of buildings, back alleys, parks, old spaces and new spaces. It is a celebration of community.
